Program Overview: Join us for a creative and engaging summer art program designed specifically for teens! Over three days, participants will explore the fascinating world of geometric patterns using various materials and techniques. This hands-on workshop will combine geometry's precision with art's creativity, resulting in stunning and unique pieces.

Special Activities:

  • Thread Art: Learn to create intricate geometric patterns using threads on a 12" MDF board. Discover how different threading techniques can produce amazing designs with a focus on symmetry and color.

  • Clay Art: Experiment with clay to design and mold geometric shapes. Understand the principles of symmetry and how to incorporate texture into your creations.

  • Mirror Art: Incorporate mirrors into your geometric designs to add a reflective and dimensional quality to your artwork. Create mesmerizing pieces that play with light and perspective.

Schedule:

  • Monday, June 10: Introduction to Geometric Patterns and Thread Art on 12" MDF boards

  • Tuesday, June 11: Painting and Clay Art on MDF boards

  • Wednesday, June 12: Mirror Art and Final Project Display

Over three days, participants will have the chance to learn and create their own vibrant glass designs. They'll use templates to draw on glass and then bring their designs to life with paints, simulating the stunning effects of traditional stained glass. This program is perfect for young artists who love to explore new techniques and express their creativity.

Special Activities:

  • Stained Glass Design: Learn the basics of stained glass art, including design principles and color selection.

  • Template Drawing: Use templates to draw artistic designs on glass.

  • Painting: Use vibrant paints to color in the designs, mimicking the look of traditional stained glass.

  • Finishing Touches: Add the final touches to your stained glass piece to create a beautiful finished product.

This hands-on workshop will encourage creativity and imagination while introducing basic clay techniques and principles.

Special Activities:

  • Clay Sculpting: Learn how to mold and shape clay into various forms and figures on MDF boards.

  • Painting: Use vibrant paints to add details to your clay creations on MDF boards.

  • Finishing Touches: Add final touches to your clay art pieces to make them unique and complete.
